Reminders to Annual Meeting Presenters
As presenters make their final preparations for the Annual Meeting, AERA reminds them of the meeting’s international, diverse nature. Poster presenters should note their session’s unique requirements, and all meeting presenters should remember the opportunity to participate in the AERA
Online Paper Repository
.
The Annual Meeting has participants and attendees from more than 60 countries. This year, 15% of registrants are from outside the United States. Participants presenting or preparing papers should be explicit when speaking about an educational system, policy, or issue as to whether it relates to the United States or other parts of the world.
AERA is also committed to building a culture of inclusion of people with diverse abilities. The roles of presenter, chair, discussant, and organizer are integral to creating inclusive sessions. The Association encourages participants to follow some basic guidelines to enhance the
accessibility
of presentations and communication.
Poster presenters will need to make specific preparations, including arriving early to prepare their displays and using poster board or cardboard. Visit the
poster preparation instructions
for complete details.
Since the introduction of the AERA Online Paper Repository, presenters can archive their papers for future use and reference by researchers. The repository makes meeting presentations available to researchers beyond the meeting room. Presenters who wish to participate may elect to do so anytime through May 30 by signing up in the AERA online submission system.
