Do you know someone who works with large-scale databases? Encourage them to join (and get involved in) the SIG: Advanced Studies of National Databases. If you have students who are working with such data, encourage them to join.  You have to be a member of AERA and to join AERA go to http://www.aera.net/Membership/tabid/10068/default.aspx and in the process, identify the SIG: Advanced Studies of National Databases (SIG 6) as one that you wish to join. If you’re already an AERA member, go to http://www.aera.net/Membership/MyAERA/tabid/11072/Default.aspx and log in with your Member ID and Password. In the Member Profile section that pops up, select SIG Memberships and click on Purchase Additional SIG Memberships. You’ll find that our annual dues of $6.00 is among the lower ones. More value for less money!
