I welcome members and visitors who are interested in exploring the arenas of biographical and documentary research. Our SIG focuses upon research theory as a common and unifying theme among the many disparate topics that are included in our scholarship.  Thus, while some members examine the lives of the contemporary first-year teacher, other members study the work of 1930s educators, and still others explore the careers and lives of teachers from the 19th century, we all still must address and resolve theoretical issues of  interpretation, access, copyright, and the ethics of documentation.

The Biographical and Documentary Research SIG provides a venue for members and interested researchers to learn more from the well-established research areas of biography and documentary inquiry.
