SUCR Dives Into Social Media
Earlier in fall 2014, AERA distributed the “Social Media” guidelines to the SIG leadership.  This simple e-mail prompted us to take a hard look in the mirror: SUCR has no social media presence.  In the coming months, we will unveil a SUCR Facebook page.  The purpose of this jaunt down the social media path is to build a sense of community, reach new members, and encourage discussion about issues surrounding the development and maintenance of school/university/community partnerships.  Be on the look-out! If you have ideas about how to best establish our social media presence through Facebook, please e-mail [email protected]

Doctoral Student Conference Presentation Initiative
Depending on the current year’s funding, the SUCR SIG will reimburse AERA’s “early bird student registration” fee for the Annual Meeting to those doctoral students who have proposals related to school-university collaborative research accepted to AERA¹s annual meeting. To receive compensation, doctoral students must present their research at AERA, and attend the SUCR Business Meeting, where the reimbursement check will be presented.
