SIG 123 and 2015 Annual Meeting
Print
The SIG-SRE annual meeting comprises a business meeting and a social hour. Generally, these events follow one of its paper presentation sessions. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend both the business meeting and social hour. Typical activities of the business meeting include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review of the SIG activities for the previous year.
  • Plans for the SIG activities for the coming year.
  • Reports of various SIG office holders.
  • Presentation of awards.
  • Panel Discussion or speaker

Newcomers are strongly encouraged to attend the social hour, during which they will have an opportunity to interact with members of the SIG and learn more about how they can become involved in SIG activities.

The Panel Discussion at the SIG business meeting provides members an opportunity to receive feedback from survey experts or professionals. A Call for Proposals for the panel discussion is sent out in the fall from the Program Chair. One proposal will be selected for presentation at the meeting.

Our next annual meeting sessions will be held at the AERA Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL, from Thursday, April 16, through Monday, April 20, 2015. The details of the 2015 meeting will be available at the AERA Website. Forthcoming issues of our newsletter would be another source of information on our next annual meeting. Annual meeting information will be updated on a continuing basis.

For any questions about our SIG activities at the Annual Meeting, please contact our Program Chair, Eric Camburn.
