The annual meeting in Washington DC is less than six weeks away. Our program committee has been working hard and has organized a very interesting conference program.  You can find some highlights of the program in this Newsletter. In this note I am providing a report on some of the AERA activities and highlights of the upcoming annual conference.

The annual meeting is not only a great setting for disseminating our own research, it also provides opportunities to learn from others’ research and engage in discussions with colleagues from different perspectives in other Divisions and SIGs.  Remember to take the opportunity to combine academic engagements at the AERA annual meeting with the networking opportunities provided by the three social receptions and the Luncheon and Business meeting.  This year, our receptions will be hosted by our International and Mentoring Committees. We will also have our joint reception with NCME. Please check this Newsletter and the official program for details.
