AERA President Joyce King has announced the Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture, AERA Distinguished Lecture, and Opening Plenary speakers.
The
Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture
will be given by
William F. Tate—
AERA 2008 Past President, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Vice Provost for Graduate Education, and Distinguished University Professor at Washington University in St. Louis.
The
AERA Distinguished Lecture
will be given by noted education historian
Ellen Condliffe Lagemann
—Levy Institute Research Professor at Bard College and Distinguished Fellow at the Bard Prison Initiative
.
The
Opening Plenary Session
will be given by
John Whittington Franklin
—Director of Partnerships and
International Programs at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Memorial Sessions Held for Leading Scholars
As a tribute to their lives and contributions to the field of education research,
memorial sessions
for Gregory Dimitriadis, John Goodlad, Maxine Greene, George Hillocks, and
William Watkins will be held at the 2015 Annual Meeting. More details about these sessions will be added as they become available.

Held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting, the AERA Career Fair will take place April 18-19. Job seekers have the opportunity to meet and network with employers, and institutions looking for qualified candidates have the chance to showcase their institutions and conduct interviews onsite.
