It is where to encounter ideas and data that will shape tomorrow's education practices and policies, and where to connect with leading thinkers from the U.S. and around the world. Leading up to the 2015 Annual Meeting, AERA15 Insider will provide a monthly glance at meeting highlights and features.  		 President King Announces Major Lecture Speakers
Tate, Lagemann, and Franklin to Address Annual Meeting
AERA President Joyce King has announced the Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture, AERA Distinguished Lecture, and Opening Plenary speakers. 
The Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture will be given by William F. Tate—AERA 2008 Past President, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Vice Provost for Graduate Education, and Distinguished University Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. 
The AERA Distinguished Lecture will be given by noted education historian Ellen Condliffe Lagemann—Levy Institute Research Professor at Bard College and Distinguished Fellow at the Bard Prison Initiative.
The Opening Plenary Session will be given by John Whittington Franklin—Director of Partnerships and International Programs at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Professional Development Courses Now Open for Registration
Annual meeting attendees can take advantage of a rich program of extended and mini professional development courses. This year’s 27-course lineup provides ample opportunities for attendees to train in research methods and skills, discover specialized research disciplines, address professional development issues, and much more. Check out courses and learn how to register. 

Honoring Lives and Legacies 
Memorial Sessions Held for Leading Scholars
As a tribute to their lives and contributions to the field of education research, memorial sessions for Gregory Dimitriadis, John Goodlad, Maxine Greene, George Hillocks, and William Watkins will be held at the 2015 Annual Meeting. More details about these sessions will be added as they become available. 

The Off-Site Experience
Registration Open for Off-Site Events
Limited space is available in four
off-site visits. Register or add an event to your existing registration to learn about innovation in workforce education, the roots of education for social justice, an initiative for more access to honors-level classes, and the political struggle over Chicago public schools.

With more than 7,000 graduate student members, AERA is pleased to offer our student attendees a Graduate Student Resources portal page to help navigate the Annual Meeting. This page includes orientation information, sessions, events, and more resources to help students get the most from their experience, connect to their research interests, and engage with others in the field.

Career Connection
Job Seekers and Employers Come Together at AERA Career Fair
Held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting, the AERA Career Fair will take place April 18-19. Job seekers have the opportunity to meet and network with employers, and institutions looking for qualified candidates have the chance to showcase their institutions and conduct interviews onsite.
