The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released a solicitation for the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program, aimed to support the research and development of creative and informal methods of promoting learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Preliminary proposals are due by August 14, 2012, and final proposals are due by January 14, 2013.

The AISL program was created to invest in and cultivate emerging opportunities for STEM education in a multitude of informal environments, which allow adaptability to individual circumstances and needs.

Questions about AISL may be e-mailed to the AISL program officers.
