Review of Research in Education
2017 and 2019
Print
The Journal Publications Committee of the American Educational Research Association invites applications for the 2017 and 2019 editorship of the Review of Research in Education (RRE). RRE is an annual peer-reviewed journal, published in the winter. It provides an overview and analysis of selected areas of relevant research through critical and synthesizing essays. The RRE editor or editorial team, in close consultation with their chosen editorial board, plays a critical role in reviewing and defining the current state of knowledge in education research. Nominees should be recognized scholars in the field of education research. The Journal Publications Committee encourages applicant editors to plan for diverse editorial teams along the multiple dimensions appropriate for the proposed RRE topics, AERA, and education research. A clearly defined vision for each volume and the ability to set and meet deadlines are essential for RRE.

The new editor(s) will assume responsibility for the 2017 volume year (Volume 41) in autumn of 2015.

The new editor(s) should move forward quickly upon appointment to plan and implement the contents of Volume 41 so that it is published in February 2017, and Volume 43, in February 2019. The editorships of RRE overlap in a pattern of alternating years.

Applications are welcomed from individuals and from teams. If you are interested in serving as an editor, please e-mail indicating your interest, and you will be sent a letter outlining application requirements. Send all inquiries to John Neikirk, Director of Publications, at [email protected]. The application deadline is December 15, 2014.
