As part of its mission to enhance the focus on international research within the association and encourage participation of education researchers worldwide in AERA activities, the International Relations Committee is responsible for the administration of a travel grant program in support in particular of emerging scholars from developing countries who are giving papers at the Annual Meeting. The committee also holds 10 sessions and symposia at the Annual Meeting that are constituted based permanently on the AERA open call for submissions. With attendees from virtually every part of the world, the association’s Annual Meeting is a key gathering point for international scholars.
