Travel Support for International Scholars

AERA's International Relations Committee (IRC) offers partial travel support to a small number of international scholars to help defray costs of attending the 2016 AERA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (April 8-April 12, 2016). The AERA Council has allocated funds for this purpose. No individual applicant will receive more than $1000.00. Those eligible for this support are international scholars whose permanent residence is outside of the U.S. and Canada, and who have a submission accepted for presentation at the 2016 Annual Meeting. Prior recipients of this support are not eligible.

Only those with accepted submissions for the 2016 Annual Meeting may apply. The International Relations Committee will evaluate accepted submissions based on the significance and cutting-edge quality of the research. Priority will be given to emerging scholars/junior faculty members and doctoral students, who are AERA members, attending the AERA Annual Meeting for the first time, and from countries with limited research infrastructure and funding. Applicants are strongly advised to secure funding from in-country and/or international sources such as the Ministry of Education, international agencies, and philanthropic organizations. Applicants can apply electronically here: http://forms.logiforms.com/formdata/user_forms/7993_9562493/96523/page1.html?cachebust=5515

Applications are due by January 20, 2016. Please direct any questions to Dr. William Schmidt (Chair of the International Relations Committee) at [email protected].
